Datran Media Joins Forces With Employees and Its Partners to Support the Ongoing Needs of 9/11 Victims' Families and Relief Workers
Tuesday's Children Fundraiser and Remembrance Program Call to Action
NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - September 10, 2007) - Datran Media, today announced that on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, a percentage of revenue from every transaction generated by the online performance marketing company will be donated to Tuesday's Children to help support 9/11 victims' families and relief workers. Tuesday's Children is a non-profit family service organization that has made a long-term commitment to every individual who was directly impacted by the events of September 11, 2001.
In addition to the contribution, Datran Media has also invited employees and its client base to participate in the fundraiser by donating to Tuesday's Children or a related charity of their choice. Based on similar non-profit fundraisers that the company has launched in the past, Datran Media expects to raise thousands of dollars. Tuesday's Children plans to use the funds to operate a wide range of programming including mentoring, educational and career guidance, leadership training and life management programs, all designed to address the unmet needs of 9/11 family members at each and every stage of life and recovery.
"Tuesday's Children is honored to be the beneficiary of this generous gift from Datran Media," said Carmine Calzonetti, president of Tuesday's Children. "This donation will make an immediate and important impact on the lives of each and every 9/11 family member we serve. Particularly now, as Tuesday's Children expands our programs to include Ground Zero rescue and recovery workers, the support of good corporate citizens, like Datran Media, is allowing us to forge new ways to help the thousands of people for whom September 11th is still a heavy burden to bear."
"In addition to our interest in working with Tuesday's Children to expand support to rescue and recovery workers," said Datran Media Vice President of Marketing Lana McGilvray, "the Datran Media team is also particularly impressed by the organization's recent global efforts. This year, Tuesday's Children is helping children of 9/11 victims who have now entered their teenage years to forge bonds with teenagers around the world who have been similarly harmed by terrorist acts and the loss of family members. The goal is to foster common understandings through shared experiences, a very necessary healing step for all."
